Water and Wild Horses

 I love the ocean. I love wild horses. Therefore Shackleford Island is amazing :)

Me encanta el océano. Y también me encanta los caballos libres. ¡La isla de Shackleford es increíble!

 

I took what seems like a hundred pictures to get a few good shots. At least I'm persistent!

These are photos of the wild horses, and although they are wild they are actually very used to human presence.  They didn't even seem to notice me and walked past without giving it a second thought.

Gracias a Díos, los caballos no me dolieron porque ellos no tienen miedo de los humanos.

Anyways, there were other things on the island that interested me too.

I can't get over how amazing Chile is.  This trip has been so full of adventure!  I have a little less than two weeks left, and I want to make the best of it!

Cabalgata

Horseback riding through sand dunes, marshes, and the beach.

I rode one of the prettiest horses... but it was also one of the feistiest.

This stallion was (or thought he was) alpha male. Anytime he got near another stallion he would start getting angry.  Needless to say I smacked him a few times... I didn't exactly want him to rear or buck me off and fall to my death at the bottom of the dunes.

Beauty in the Morning

I just got home from my first year of college. It went fast, way too fast. Now I'm moved back into my bedroom for summer vacation. I spent all day yesterday cleaning, dusting, unpacking, and throwing out old things that were in my room. Now it's the cleanest it's ever been! Totally free of clutter. This new spring clean feeling is great, it makes me want to be healthy and clean.
So I started going for runs in the morning around 9.
This morning I brought my camera on the run, all of these images are taken by me.
The mornings are so BEAUTIFUL!

There is a field filled with yellow dandelions. The horse lives in the barn in the middle of the field, yesterday it was poking it's head out of a window.

Listen to Bon Iver, his music is absolutely amazing and it has been inspiring me lately.

The sun is shining, it's a beautiful day. So much can be overwhelming, I praise God for days like this.

I had my headphones in while crouching down on the ground to capture these images. People were walking past me, probably a little confused.

You know the movie "Yes Man"? Well I decided to take pictures while I was running and this one turned out pretty cool.
