Let's Fly!!

So today I am leaving the country to visit my beloved friends that are practically family in Viña del Mar, Chile. Therefore I will be MIA for about two weeks, but when I get back expect some amazing photos!

Te Quiero CHILE! Nos vemos en unas horas :)

Wild Flowers

This is day 10 of Kim Klassen's 12 Days of Textures

Sometimes I get scared of what will happen in the future, only because I don't know what is going to happen.  Questions start running through my head and I slowly begin to panic.  During the moments when I lose sight of my path, God calms my worries and reminds me that He has a plan for my life.  His plan is better than anything that I could ever imagine and so I do not have to worry.  I hope that God speaks to you in a similar way, remember that He has a plan for your life too!

P.S. Due to the amount of dreamy and whimsical photos that I have been posting lately, I feel like I have to make a disclaimer:

I have an imaginary world where fairies and magic are my constant companion, but that world is only imaginary.  I also live in a real world; in this world I worship one God and I do not believe in fairies or magic.
I am a child of God and He created me to be creative. Through my creativity I do not want to accidentally promote something that I do not truly believe in. So this is my disclaimer!  It might not really be necessary but I felt a little bothered when I realized how I might have been coming off.

Que te vaya bien!

De-mythicizing the Egg

Source: [That's all Folks!]

As a recent vegan, I have been experimenting with a lot of new recipes.  I have had a lot of success but honestly, there are so many foods that I miss!! Mainly in the baked goods category... cookies, muffins, banana bread... basic southern love. They were a frequent part of my diet and they remain a constant temptation.

So due to my mom's teasing and my love of baked goods, I went in search of the truth about how to replace eggs in baking. Click the link below to see the results of my search!

I do believe in fairies!

This photo (day 5 of Kim Klassen's 12 Days of Textures) was partially inspired by the movie Hook.

Baked Black Bean Taquitos

A friend told me about this recipe a few days ago and I thought it sounded absolutely delicious.  Last night I made it for my friends and it turned out SO good!  So good that I made it again today for lunch... and I have leftovers for tomorrow as well.

If you're like me and only eat plants then this is perfect for you. All you have to do is cut out the cheese and sour cream from the recipe and replace them with a delicious fresh salsa.

Sand Fairy

I have been so busy with school this semester that I totally forgot about my lovely blog. I am sorry for leaving you alone for so long!

It is exam time right now, so of course that means that I have time for a beach photo shoot
(I find it slightly ironic that I haven't been on here all semester due to my busy schedule, and yet the busiest time of the semester is when I finally do decide to update. Procrastination? Nahhh)

So anyways, the theme for this photo shoot is fairies!
There are more photos to come, these are just the first few that I have been able to edit :)

I feel that it is very important to stay in touch with your inner child.  Doing so helps to keep my creative juices flowing while having fun with other creative people!
