Feliz Año!! Happy New Year!! I hope yours was great! I was fortunate enough to spend mine with a best friend in one of the most beautiful places in South America... Viña del Mar, Chile.
Our spot overlooked the whole coast. The closest fireworks were in Viña del Mar and the others are further down coast in Valparaíso and beyond. What an amazing night!
New Years in South America is quite an adventure. The people crowd the streets and dance until the sun comes up. The party that I was at served us dinner, had an open bar, and played music that lasted throughout the night. People of all ages celebrated the new year, from children to grandparents, and all were on the dance floor literally dancing the night away.
The aftermath of Año Nuevo littered the streets the following days. Confetti, broken bottles, cigarette butts, etc.
Beauty can be found everywhere, even among the litter!
It was a night that I will never forget.
Every year it is necessary to make a New Years Resolution. Mine is to be completely vegan, not just for the year but for my whole life. Over the past few months I have been educating myself and experimenting with different foods and so now I feel that I am fully prepared to embark on this journey!
I intend to keep you all updated on my progress with photos and recipes of all the delicious foods that I eat, maybe I will even inspire some of you to take the same steps that I have :)
I have been so busy with school this semester that I totally forgot about my lovely blog. I am sorry for leaving you alone for so long!
It is exam time right now, so of course that means that I have time for a beach photo shoot
(I find it slightly ironic that I haven't been on here all semester due to my busy schedule, and yet the busiest time of the semester is when I finally do decide to update. Procrastination? Nahhh)
So anyways, the theme for this photo shoot is fairies!
There are more photos to come, these are just the first few that I have been able to edit :)
I feel that it is very important to stay in touch with your inner child. Doing so helps to keep my creative juices flowing while having fun with other creative people!
It is finally October! I would have to say that this is my absolute favorite month of the year. It is my favorite for many reasons: it is my birthday, my dad's birthday, it has halloween, the weather is just GORGEOUS, and the leaves start to change. I love October. :)
In light of the changing of seasons, I am posting some photos in memory of the summer.
Dear summer, you went too fast and I will miss you dearly. I look forward to seeing you again next year!

My days are slowly becoming less and less chaotic as I perfect my balancing act of classes, homework, work, and spending time with friends. I also just got a new job. I no longer work in the library amongst my beloved books, instead I have moved on to working amongst my beloved photos. I am now an official Imaging Technician :)
Anyways, I have been missing my kitties. I love my cats but most of all I loved it when they were kittens. So this post is dedicated to my absolute love of them :)
Check out evil kitty in the bottom left hand corner!
I know that I'm a little obsessed... but I just love my cats :)
